I cannot undo a sytem restore.

In the help and support centre in windows xp I was trying to solve a problem
and I chose to restore my system at a certain date. I was a bit hesitant to
do this, but it said all system restores are completely reversible. So I went
ahead and restored my system at a certain date, this did not fix my problem,
it only brought back past problems. So I thought, 'no worries' I will just
undo this restore. No such luck.

When u say no such luck, what do u mean? Do mean u could
not restore it back to the state you were at originally
or u had problems with the machine after doing that... I
have used system restore dozens of times and it has fixed
many problems related to the operating systems... it will
not always fix programs other than the operating system
though unless the operating system had been a cause of
the problem.
