I have Windows Mail as my e-mail and are currently working in Vista but when
I send e-mails from work to my home PC with any attachments I can receive the
e-mail but not attachments appear. I have switched of the default in the
security section in tools but still no joy. Can anyone help.

Maybe it's not a problem with windows mail, consider telling me what you're
using at work...

If you're using Outlook at work, I'm surprised you're getting any part of
the
messages. Outlook usually encodes the messages in the RTF format,
which Windows Mail cannot understand.

Otherwise, click on Tools, then Options, then Read. If there's a check mark
in the box before Read all messages in plain text, click on this box, then
Apply. Click on OK

After this, do you at least get a paperclip near the top right corner of the
messages indicating an attachment, even if the attachment won't open?
If so, click on the paperclip and tell us the part of the file name starting
with the last period.

Outlook, by default, sends messages in the RTF format, which Windows
Mail cannot understand. You might check whether you have the
option of using a different format in Outlook for the messages you send
home.
