I cannot delete any file in Outlook 2003.

I am receiving a message when i try to delete from any of my folders: "The
message interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem presists,
restart outlook". It started after trying to check my POP mail and i had 27
messages and could only receive 16. I did not think much about it and tried
to compose and send an e-mail and started receiving error message 0x8004060C.
Please Help!

I'm not sure what i did but after some research i used the archive tool for
my sent mail and now i'm back to normal. Can anyone explain?
