All of a sudden I can visit the other sites except www.google.com(but
as I ping www.google.com, there do show "reply from" on the screen!)

After chat with friends on IM, I switch to administrator account, and
found that google can be visited under the administrator account.

Then I browse the network property, the IP address is auto-assigned!
The static IP address disappear automatically! what's up?

I re-assign static IP address and switch to limited account, google
can be visited again!

anyone kindly explain it?

Hi ,

It sounds wired that the IP is not valid and the computer still can visit
most web sites.Based on my experience, the auto-configured ip should be
169.254.*.*, right? It is not an valid ip address to access resource in
your LAN. Therefore, I suspect you access other web site by cache and the
google is not cached.

hi Vincent Xu,
I am sure that it's not cache!
my "auto-assigned" means that there is blank and no APIPA
auto-assigned address.

Hi ,

Thanks for your clarifying.

Actually, I think the cause can be various. For example, you are using a
limited ip address which is request from Dhcp (if you are using dhcp in LAN)

Or, the google is blocked temporarily.

Or, google's dns record is cached which point to another invalid ip.

I think the fact in deed should be troubleshooted when the symptom occur.
Therefore, I suggest you contact us when this issue re-occur and we can
perform some troubleshooting steps to find out the cause.

Thanks for understanding.
