I can not open my old personal folders

Using Micrsot outlook 2003 I had my old personal folder with all my contacts,
after my laptop returned from being repaired I had to create a new folder and
the old folder disapeared and using the tool bar to find the folder it
answered they can not be found. is there any way to recover these folders

Seach for PST files on the computer. They contain the contents of your
folder(s). Open them using the File menu > Open > Outlook Data File command.
You can then drag/drop the data you'd like to where you'd like it
