i am lost

i need help with something i am sure is simple! when i double click on an
icon on my desktop when it pops up on my screen it shows only half the
screen. i want to double click the icon and have the pop up cover my whole
screen. how do i change that?

Hover your cursor over the edges until you see a double arrow and left
click/drag them to the edges of your screen. Then click File/Close (or
Exit) and they should stay that size from then on.
