I am having trouble formatting my C drive

Does anyone know how to format the C drive in XP. I want
to re-install Windows on my computer, but I want to wipe
the drive clean first. This used to be very easy, but
now I can't get it done. Can anyone help me?

Boot with your XP CD - during the setup you will be given the option to format your hard drive/partition:

"Clean Install Windows XP"

Bootup your system from your XP disk and follow the steps.

You need your XP CD. Set the BIOS to boot from the CD drive
and reboot the computer with the CD in the drive. Select to
install XP and take the option to partition and format the
drive.
