That's not a hyphen, that's an apostrophe, and the likelihood is that you
have to press the apostrophe key twice to get an apostrophe because you have
an international keyboard layout selected. Try Control Panel | Regional and
Language Options and drill down to where you can switch keyboards to the
appropriate one.
