hyperlinks

gerry magee

I set up hyperlinks to link to photos in Excel 2003. The photos ar
stored on My Docs. Everything worked fine for a few days. Then o
friday, all my links appeared to be blocked for some reason. When
click on the hyperlink, a pop-up box only appears with the path. I hav
a few network computers connected to mine, and when I test from thei
computers, the hyperlinks work fine. They are running Excel XP.
thought perhaps it was my anti-virus, so I disabled it, but still n
luck.

If I open a blank worksheet and insert a hyperlink, it works. ( wit

Hi Gerry,
When you have an error message, please include the
exact message text with all punction so someone can do a Goggle search
on the message for you, as doing a Google web and Google groups search
is the way many questions are answered.

Since the links work on some machines and not on others I expect you will
find two different links. Bill Manville suggested putting some absurd path
into the link base so that your link will not be converted to a relative link.

That is assuming your problem is something like another reported problem in posting,

This is what it looks like before I save it.

I must point out however that on other machines that this link works on also
looks like the 2nd example.
