Hyperlinks to folders?

Excel-newbie

Can cells hold hyperlinks to folders? We are using excel
to track work requests. We want to have a cell that links
to a folder, containing any documentation that relates to
the request.

I'm sorry, but I have never posted anything here before.
How can I find this previous answer? I tried searching
using "hyperlink", but didn't find anything.

I don't know excel at all.
