hyperlinks no longer start IE

After upgrading from WIN XP to Vista Business, on a MacBook, whenever I press
a Hyperlink in any application, like in a Outlook mail, Internet Explorer is
not started.
also from a help screen the hyperlinks do not start IE.
Any Ideas???

First, try setting Internet Explorer as your default browser. Go to IE Tools,
Internet Options, Programs tab and turn on the check box for IE to check if
it is the default browser. Shut down and restart IE. When it prompts to be
set as default browser, say yes.

Selecting IE as default brouser, solved the problem.

The problem is not IE versus Firefox... the problem is that the Hyperlinks to
not start any application...
