hyperlinks from switchboard

is it possible to have a switchboard menu item function as a hyperlink when
clicked? Nothing I have tried seems to work.

I haven't been able to figure out how to add a link using the switchboard
menu controls. The easiest way I've found is to embed an unbound image (of a
button) and in its properties, add the hyperlink (url).
