hyperlinks don't work

I'm running Outlook 98 in Windows XP, which has always allowed active
hyperlinks in email messages. Until now. Now, when there's a hyperlink like
an email address or a URL, Outlook does underline it but does not link to the
webpage or create an email message to send. This only began yesterday. The
only thing I can think of that I may have changed are some things on my
browser (I have IE and NetCaptor).

Any ideas on how to fix this would save my life right now!!!!!!!!!

Open

Internet Explorer | Tools | Internet Options | Programs

and press the button "Rest web settings".

Please verify, that under

Programs | E-Mail

Outlook is selected.

Hi Christian. Thanks for your message. I had tried your suggestion, but it
didn't work. Most people get an error message when they click on their
defective hyperlink, but nothing at all happens when I click mine. Any other
ideas? Thanks again.
Chris
