Whenever I click on a hyperlink in Excel (& sometimes Word), if I then try
to minimize or maximize any application, the animation effect returns (the
"sliding" to & from the taskbar). I have used Tweak UI General tab to
uncheck "Enable Windows Animation". However, clicking a hyperlink checks
the box.
I've also followed the advice of Kelly Thorout at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_a.htm by setting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics\MinAnimate to zero.
That value doesn't change, but the behavior still does.
Anyone know of a solution? Is there another registry entry somewhere that I
can change?
I found a key
Key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects\AnimateMinMax
but it has no data or values set. I'm not sure what type of entry to put in
there or even if I should mess with it.
