Hyperlinked Index

Hello,

I have created a 60 page word document using Word 2002. I have created an
index by using the Index function by going through the whole document and
highlighting key words and clicking on the mark index entry button. Once I
finished marking the index entries I created the index at the end of the
document which displays static pages numbers where the key words appear in
the document.

My question is, is there a way to make the Index I created above
"hyperlinked"? as well as showing the page number reference?

Any suggestions?

A hyperlinked index is not available as an option in Word's built-in indexing
tools. Steve Hudson, who is a regular contributor to these forums, has
developed a hyperlinked index tool if you need it. Click on the "Tools" link
from his website http://www.wordheretic.com.

Unfortunately, although this feature has often been requested, current
versions of Word do not provide a way to create a hyperlinked index. You
might add your vote for this request, though, by submitting a suggestion at
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp
