Hyperlink

I have come to accept to some degree the snails pace at which outlook 2007
runs. I hope there is a work around my hyperlink concern.

I almost always create hyperlinks in an email to online pages. No problem
copy the address, highlight the text in your email that you want the
hyperlink to be associated with, create hyperlink and the window pops up that
allows you to put in the web address.

Problem is .. the window that opens that allows you to put in the web
address defaults to the Documents folder and the program sits there indexing
everything in the my documents folder before I can place the web address in
the "link to" space at the bottom of the window. This is making me crazy! I
just want to put in the web address. Is there a way for this dialog box to
open without it first going through all of the documents folder first? This
is a crazy time eater. There must be a short cut and I dont know it. Thank
you for any help
Alex

I do copy. The issue is when the program will allow you to paste. The cursor
in the blank box does not show up and you cannot paste until all of the
documents folder is indexed.

Select text-insert hyperlink and when that window opens .. there is a bar
that says "look in" on the side are choices ... current folder yadda yadda

the "look in" field by default goes to the documents folder. I am now
completely stuck until it loads every folder into the window under "look in"

Cant paste cant even shut the window until the whole my documents folder
loads up in that window.

Its not the copy paste part. Its no the creating web link I have a problem
with.

I copy link, select text, click insert-hyperlink and the window pops up.
Under text to display is another bar that says "Look in"

This defaults to my documents and try as I might you cant paste, close that
window or do anything else until the window underneath "look in" has loaded
all the material in the my documents folder. Then the cursor will flack and
you can paste.

I am wondering if there is an option so that it does not default to
documents but stays blank .. If I need to link to something I can browse to
it but if not the look in stays blank and I can paste my web link and move on.
