Hyperlink to PDF doc - Reader won't open

I have Powerpoint 2000, Win 200 and Adobe Reader 6.0.2.

My slide has a hyperlink to a pdf file. When I click on the link, Acrobat
Reader flashes on the screen, but does not open. Other hyperlinks work
(*.xls). Reader works fine otherwise. Any ideas on what could be the
problem?

Are you sure that it isn't open, but hiding behind your presentation? Look at
the Taskbar. Do you see it there? Or press Ctrl + Alt + Del to open the task
manager and see if Acrobat is listed in the list of active applications.
