I have set up some hyperlinks, they are accessed but once i fininshed with the
hyperlink they do not return me to my original presentation,to re access the
presentation I have to close down the window manually ?

To what are you hyperlinking? What system are you using and what version of
PowerPoint. If you link to a Web page or other Office document, you can
usually hit the Back button to get back to your presentation. If you link to
another PowerPoint presentation, you can set up a link on the other
presentation to "End Show" or just hit the Escape key to return. Give us more
details about what you are doing and what isn't working.

Also, when I go to open my hyperlincks they are then opening outside of my
presentation, I then have to close my presentation to view the hyperlink,
what can I do about this?

Hyperlinks to other slides in the same presentation, other presentations, web
pages, other types of files ....?

If to other PPT content, it might work to include it in your main presentation
as a custom show that you link to via Show and Return. Otherwise, you'll have
to either close the linked-to window manually or if possible, include a button
or other "trigger" to close it for you (ie, an End Show button if it's a PPT
file).

i am using xp,2002 powerpoint, and hyperlinking to word documents

When you link to a Word file, Word launches and takes over. You're operating under
its rules while the document is open and has focus. Word's not arbitrarily going to
close a document because you happen to have arrived at the last page. It has no way
of knowing when you're done viewing the material until you tell it.

You'll need to manually close it or perhaps write and use some kind of macro that
does the job for you.

Or perhaps you could copy/paste the Word content into another PPT presentation and
link to that. Add an End Show button on the last page and you've got a nice clean
way back to the original presentation.

I'm not sure what you mean

I'm having a similar problem of when I open a website from a hyperlink the
website is behind the power point presentation. How do I get the browser to
open on top of the presentation and be the main area of focus, staying on top
until the user closes the browser window? Thanks.
