Hyperlink destinations have changed

I have a spreadsheet with several hundred hyperlinks to various documents
(all within one pathway.

It has all worked fine for months, but today when I opened it the hyperlinks
have all changed their destination path.

Any ideas why they have changed and any suggestions on how to (1) stp it
happening again and (2) change them all back without having to edit each opne
individually?

A few people have said that this has resolved the problem for them:

File|Properties|Summary Tab|Hyperlink Base
change it to C:\
(something that's always available)

I like to use the =hyperlink() worksheet function. It has never failed me this
way:

=hyperlink("file:////yourpathtothe/something.xxx","Click me")
