Hyper Links

I am working on a powerpoint presentation...which involves an excel
spreadsheet. I wanted to click on the "icon" spreadsheet and have it
hyperlink me to Excel, is this possible? I have done the insert hyperlink,
bookmark but nothing seems to work. What in the world am I doing wrong?

First off, it is always a good idea to have any linked files in the same
folder as your PowerPoint presentation before you insert them as linked
objects. That way if you need to move your show to a USB drive, etc., the
links will work.

Try: "Insert", "Object", "Create from file", "Browse", select your file and
click the "Display as icon" checkbox, click "OK". Does that work?
