I have Microsoft office on my laptop and husband broke the man cd. How do I
update? Or can I replace it without any cost?

Contact Microsoft. I believe they offer some sort of replacement
option.

Keep the pieces of the CD. When you call Microsoft, they will ask for the
serial number rendered on the hub of the CD to verify you're legit, and
there will be a modest fee for shipping of the new one. They won't make you
buy Office again.

Same thing happened to my Windows 2000 CD.
