Hundreds of pages

I have a Word document created in Word 97. The document has 9 pages. When I
try to open this in Word 2003 it shows me 200 hundred pages and still adding
more. I tried to safe this wit different name but the problem is the same.
Why does it work ok in Word 97 but not in Word 2003?

Mario:

Read the instructions more carefully. You have a corrupt document there.

In Word 2003, save the document as "Web Page", close the all documents,
re-open the HTML version in Word 2003 and save it again as a .DOC file with
a new file name.

That should fix it.
