My email address has the format (e-mail address removed). This is the only
valid address for my email, I am the only user. However, my ISP does allow
multiple other names all @myhostname.myISP.net.
Every day I receive dozens of messages from various companies' email systems
addressed to (e-mail address removed) telling me that messages sent
from "anothername" are undeliverable. I have not sent any of these messages.
No infection is found on my PC by numerous A-V and anti-spyware programmes.
Everything is up-to-date, patched, etc. Even when my PC has been offline for
a few days, these messages still arrive.
Has my email address been "stolen" and used by a spammer? How can I stop
these messages?
