If there is no Internet Explorer window open and I click on shortcut that
has a URL as the target (desktop, Quick Launch, Outlook, etc.), when the IE
window opens, the address bar shows http://"%20 to the left of whatever the
URL is.
If there is already an Internet Explorer window open, nothing is added at
the left of the URL, the shortcut works correctly and the page at the URL
displays. So, if I click a shortcut, I get the problem. If I leave the IE
window open and click on the same shortcut again, it works correctly.
This just started happening today.
What is causing this and what needs to be done to cure it?
