Hi, I am working on some html text in excel spreadsheet. When I past
some HTML in a cell, the cell changes shape according to the html tags
For example, text will become bold if <b></b> is used and font change
in a similar way.

Is there are way I can disable html in a cell altogether where exce
treats it just like text and shape of my cell doesn't change?
Thank

You specifically asked how to 'disable a cell so that HTML displays as
text that does not alter the size of the cell'.

The solution below does not do that. It simply converts any HTML text
to simple text, without changing the visible size of the cell.

1.insure the Office Clipboard is ON and visible
2.select and copy the HTML text
3.PASTE SPECIAL... into MS notepad, and select UNFORMATTED text
4.delete any <CR>
5.cut or copy selected text

6.Do Not Paste Into Excel!!!

7.select the desired Excel cell and click on the Office Clipboard text
