Had a problem, that I had resolved by doing a fresh install of Vista. My
problem was that HTML mail wouldn't show their messages after unblocking
them. Either by unchecking the setting in the security tab in the options,
or manually clicking unblock in the yellow warning bar that pops up. All the
text is still visible, just none of the images. Things I had tried were,
reseting Windows Mail by delete all the data in the local AppData folder for
the user, and the registry keys, also tried a system restore to an earlier
date when I knew it was working, and finally, tried using sfc /scannow to
see if that would help. The edition of Vista I was using and currently am
using is 64-bit Ultimate. I would just like to know any insight to why this
may of happen to avoid, or to perhaps fix it myself if it does happen again.
The AV software I use is Avira Personal, and Comodo Firewall if that makes a
difference. One other thing, this happened on both pop, and imap accounts.
Previously downloaded mail also was affected, as was the newly downloaded
html messages. Thanks.
