HTML "mailto:" forms don't work with IE6

I am trying to make my own website which involves
allowing users to "post" messages by sending them to me.

The following form may look familiar to you:

<FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="mailto:[email protected]">

This form is not compatible with the latest version of IE
and I would like to know where I could find a similar one
that is just or almost as easy to learn as the one
above. If there is some sort of patch or update for IE6
that allows this form to work, could someone please give
me that.

Why not just say:

send mail to <a href=" mailto:[email protected]">

which will post to (e-mail address removed)

If you use a FORM then you have to manage.
