I would really like to create a very simple HTML message
in Outlook to send to a wide audience who may or may not
use Outlook / Word.

I have tried the various methods outlined in
www.slipstick.com/mail1/html. My frustration is that
each time vb Script and / or Word insists on adding
numerous lines of word styles and other codes. Part of
the problem is that our network has made the defaults
revert to edit with Microsoft Word. I have been unable
to create anything without this extra code bloat that
undermines my simple HTML.

Anything suggestions would be appreciated.

Create your HTM-file with your favorite editor and then choose Insert->
File... and then press the little down arrow on the Insert button and choose
Insert as Text
