I dropped my old toshiba laptop and the lcd screen cracked, making it hard to see in several regions. I have a small 17" plasma tv that has a computer input port, and i connected it to my laptop, but all I've been able to do is "Extend my desktop into this monitor." Under display settings, after i extend my desktop into my tv, an option becomes available to make it my primary monitor. When I click it, my desktop stops being extended into my tv and my laptops resolution goes back to 640x480. Im running winxp pro and id really appreciate any help i can get in making my tv into my monitor... thanks

I assume you mean a 17" LCD TV. I don't think they have made any plasma
TV's that small. I am going to guess that 640X840 is the best resolution
that the TV can display.

BTW using the normal case (like upper case for "I") sure makes reading
the results easier. Ignore this if you don't due this for a good reason,
which I know some people do.
