my hp7955 delivers a message "cannot find operating system"
earlier in the day (saturday) my system was working find i
downloaded nothing or received nothing and have an update
nortorn anti-virus running. I tried my recovery discs and
they wont work. HP support is sending me new discs and ideas?

Your hard drive could be feeling particularly sick - or indeed have passed
on. Is it seen in the BIOS?

Make sure you do not have any floppy discs or CDs inserted before you
start up your computer.
