HP Vectra VEi8 Soundcard query

hi
i need to install a creative soundcard on this machine which has on
onboard sound module....i cant find anywhere in the bios setup to
disable it....
can i load the creative card on the system as well??
should the onboard sound be disabled in device manager??
running win98 se

The Kristol drivers must be un-installed for the control panel.
Shut down, plug in the Creative.
Let 98 find the new board ask for the drivers upon re-boot.

i disabled onboard sound in dev mgr and the creative kicked in fine...
all iis well
