HP T5520 Camera Problem

M

Mark McWilliams

We have a problem when we hook up a digital camera to a HP T5520 thin client
or any other thin client on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition server. When we
attach the camera, it asks me for a driver. Since we don't have CD-roms or
hard drives installed, how would I get the driver installed? Also from what
I read on the net, you have to be logged into the terminal service for the
camera to find the usb device. If I do this, then how would I know which
drive the thin client is attaching to. Do I need to map a drive to the
camera? I don't have the My Computer icon on the desktop for security
reasons and don't want it on there if at all possible to keep users from
accessing files on the C drive on the file server.

Any help would be appreciated....

TS doesn't support camera redirection anyways, so you're efforts are in vein.
If you want to do this you'll need an XPe thin-client and software like
ShareCamera from Remote-Scan.com
