HP Scanjet 3670 - Button Problem!

Installed software first, connected scanner and XP installed
automatically. Gone into software to configure buttons on front of
scanner, applied and closed software. Press Scan button, dailog box
appears but no programs to choose from to scan with???? Tried
re-installing from scratch, same problem exists. Can anyone shed some
light on this please? Thanks.

Yes, I've changed the settings in the software but button just will not
work. I've also installed an update from HP website, still no joy. Very
frustrating.
