HP printheads' report

What do the "fire nS" and the "warm nS" mean in the 43-Tap Report? I suspect
these parameters are adjusted to ink properties or to the temperature.

These are related to the energy settings for the printheads. This is not
anything a user should care about, it is set automatically by the printer when
a new printhead is installed. What exactly are you looking for?

I supose that FireMV / FireNS / WarmNS are related to the ink properties
inside the cartridge. That's why the two sets of carts showed same values.
TsrTemp may is the temperature in the printhead circuit or inside the
printer.

Bob, I refill cartridges so I want to know how do different inks interfere
with the printhead. Knowing the parameters I could judge ink quality. But I
don't know if these parameters are related to temperature readings or are
related directly to ink properties. You may are the only person in this ng
with knowledge on this aspect.
Of course I know what fire nanoseconds, warm nanoseconds and fire mV mean,
but I don't know how the printer chooses the values.

Two sets of 56/57 carts in a DJ5662 showed same values for
Fire mV
Fire nS
Warm nS

What was different tho'

TSr Reading 98/122 and 104/101
Tsr temp 157/167 and 483/485

Yianni, I started my toner am inkjet business in 1991 and keep growing every
year. I network with five other businesses that refill cartridges and we
share what suppliers have the best ink for the each type of cartridge.
Unfortunately none of us can find a ink supplier that has quality ink that
will work with all cartridges. I use three different vendors to refill HP
cartridges. For example the vendor we use for HP 23 & HP 78 is not the same
vendor we use for HP 28 & 57. Our yield on our 23 & 78 is 99.9% and the 28 &
57 a little lower. The ink for the 27 & 56 come from another vendor. In all
cases we refill all our cartridges under vacuum system from SpeedBrite. I
retired in 1991 but got bored and started up this business. Its very
challenging and rewarding. Bottom line my belief is you get the best bang
for your buck from HP inkjet & laser printers. If you own a Lexmark printer,
good luck. Pete
