HP Printer Quality Problem

I recently installed a new Dell Dimension 4500 with XP (was running ME).
Since the install my HP 693c print quality for color photos is crap.
Verified the drivers withinWindows and the HP site says I'm running the
right drivers. Any help would be appreciated.
 
The 693c is a very old printer. If you're looking for photo quality, you
really need to think about looking for a much newer photo printer connected
via USB.
