I am trying to get a print cartridge carrier for an HP Photosmart
7150. I searched the HP site trying to find a way to identify the
part number or to order it. I was NOT successful. I then tried
leaving a message for tech support asking how to order the part. I
have not received a reply in two days.
Does anyone have a good way to order internal printer parts from HP.
Your help will be appreciated.
I used to have a small custom stereo business that included repair
services. Getting parts from manufacturers was a super hassle, and I
suspect that this problem put a lot of independent repair shops out of
business (it was before our present scourge of throw-away merchandise).
The solution that I can offer you is simple: buy another used printer
that contains the same parts that you need, scrap it for parts that you
want, and recycle what's left through an electronics recycling program.
In fact, someone may be giving away exactly what you want on Freecycle
or a similar service.
Please don't be insulted if this route isn't an option for you. It is
where I live. The last time I recommended buying a used printer at a
thrift shop, someone in another country had an outraged hissy fit at me
here. On the other hand, I invite anyone in a different country to
please take my country's president and vice-president off our hands:
they're such an embarrassment -- so stupid and such destructive
sociopaths. Please!
Bob Headrick and one or two other people on this NG can tell you which
models use the same parts that you need.
Good luck.
