HP Pavilion m9088hk losing CMOS settings even with new CR2032

What else could cause this? An old power supply that's not giving out
enough juice?

The m9088hk was bought in year 2007.

[a bit of OT]
Someone, or something, must have reset the BIOS settings. Could it be a
ghost? :)

CMOS settings getting lost is also a symptom of a failing CMOS battery,
at least on desktops in my experience. Replacing the CMOS battery (if
possible) is usually the first thing I do if I have that type of
problem.

Good luck.
