HP Officejet 710 corrupt driver on installation

No matter what is done I get a corrupt driver with windows
XP when installing the driver for the HP Officejet 710. I
have tried following the pre-installation and installation
instructions on the HP site, uninstalled and reinstalled
the printer and software countless times, deleted all the
files and driver associated with the printer, and edited
the registry. I have been trying to avoid calling MS
help. Can anyone help me.

I see nobody responded....I am having the same problem
since an automatic XP update on 9/4.....did you get it
resolved? If so....can you help me?
