HP Officejet 5510 & XP 98 network

I installed an HP Officejet 5510 on an XP host with a 98 client. I can't print from the client. HP suggested using Deskjet 3650 driver on 98 client but it isn't on the pick list and the driver I downloaded from HP is an installation program. I tried adding the additional 98 drivers on the XP host but it is looking for oj5500_install which I can't seem to locate either. The 5510 works fine on the host. I only need to use the 5510 as a printer from the client. Any suggestions?

Have you tried installing the driver for the printer in
98?

Yes, I tried installing the 5510 software on the 98

machine but it doesn't have a USB port so that stops the
installation process.

Hi frank again,
i got it.

use the cd and install the programm on the sub computer as it has bee
discribed . follow exactly the way as you have done on the hos
computer.
means log the printer as stand allone in on the sub pc's.

after you have restarted the system plug the printer on the host pc.

change on the sub pc's the link . make a right click on the printe
5510,preferences,details , add link and search for the link in you
network to the host pc. attention - do not change the driver on the su
pc afterwards and do not forget to make the printer on the host p
available for the network.

i made it for a win 98 and win me sub pc. but only the printer works
you do not have any acess to the faxprinter or to the scanner.
