HP LJ 4100 printer driver issues

Folks,

I have an application (using delphi and crystal reports) that does crash
heavily on windows 2000 server when printing to a hp-lj pcl driver, and
doesn't (at least not as rapidly) when printing on the same printer using an
older PS-driver. Is this something that is known and a work around for? I am
happy to use the PS driver but I still don't feel too convinced that this is
"safe" (only time will tell)

You found the workaround ;)
Using the PS driver when the PCL driver doesn't work (and vice versa) is
perfectly fine if you can get away with it. You may want to check HP.com
for a driver update, or complain to them about your issue (which may
eventually result in an update).
