HP Kayak xu800: Cannot validate "XP Product Key"

HP Kayak xu800 Workstation, Serial #: FR10223802 and System or Product
#:P3220N



Original O/S: Windows 2000 Professional SP3 and NTFS.



Additional hardware removed HP [D9661A] PCI Ultra 2 FastRAID Kit (Adaptec
AAA-131U2 SCSI)



Using a genuine and newly purchased Microsoft XP CD the install process
continued until entering the Product Key, when a popup said the Key is
invalid.



Having tried many times and failed, help is welcomed.

Where did you purchase the new XP CD? If you purchased it on eBay
there may be a great possibility that it is Counterfeit.

Take special care whilst tying the Product Key. Beware of
characters that look like numbers, e.g., "B" vs. "8*, the
letter "O" vs. the number "0", etc. Doing some computer
upgrades this past week and reading those PK's is hard on
the eyes.
