Windows XP instaled the HP 607c driver with no apparent
problem. The printer prints with no other problems, and
no error messages appear when the problem occurs.
However, any attempt to print in color results in printed
colors which are made up of the intended color overlaid
with grey. (E.G., a pure red field will print as a
murkey red/black mushy color).
I have done the obvious things, like reinstal the driver,
clean the printer cartridge, change the printer color
settings, etc., to no avail
The problen persists using a new, clean color cartridge,
and does this from all programs (e.g., WordPerfect, Word,
Paint Shop, QuickView, etc.).
This problem did not occur using the same printer and
software running under windows 98.
My best guess is that the Windows XP driver for HP697c is
flawed.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to fix this.
