I have been trying to align the heads on my Deskjet 695C on the services tab
of the properties.

When I click on the "Align the print cartridges" button, nothing happens on
the printer, no alignment page printed.

Can anyone advise of the fix or workaround to this problem?

Reinstall the printer.

Reboot the printer. Unplug it for a minute. Then power it up and try again.
If still NG, call HP.

WHEN I INSTALLED MY HP 3420 DESKJET PRINTER I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT IT WAS ALL IN PORTUGUESE, (I LIVE IN PORTUGAL) SO I TRIED TO UNINSTALL IT, AND GO BACK TO SEE IF I HAD AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE OPTION, HOWEVER, WHEN I UNINSTALLED AND THEN REINSTALLED IT, I DIDN'T SEE THE ORIGINAL OPTIONS THAT MIGHT HAVE LET ME CHOOSE ENGLISH AS A LANGUAGE. IN FACT, NOW, IT WON'T LET ME REINSTALL IT AT ALL, MUST THINK I AM TRYING TO PIRATE IT, OR MAKE COPIES OR SOMETHING. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS BESIDES MY HAVING TO LEARN PORTUGUESE...WHICH MAY TAKE A LOT OF TIME..

THANKS VJAY

Please do not post in all CAPS. It's hard to read and seems as
though you're shouting. Thanks.

Uninstall the HP software and remove the cable from the PC. Reboot.
Plug the cable back in and install the HP software again but this time
choose English.
