HP 970c remaining ink printout

I'd like to know if there's any way to have this printer print out the
ink remaining in its two cartridges by using its front panel buttons
instead of having to install its software and get this information from
the attached computer. And, of course, what's the button sequence to get
the result.

Test pages
Press and hold POWER.
Press "X" (Cancel Print) the specified number of times
Press RESUME/FF the specified number of times.
Release POWER
X RESUME/FF Results
