HP 8450 printer & Vista

There are no Vista drivers for my HP 8450 printer.
Has anyone successfully installed the XP drivers for this model?

Hello Paula,

I just checked the list and that driver is included with Vista. Look for the
"HP Photosmart 8400 Series".

I found out the hard way that even when you manage to get an XP driver for an HP
inkjet to install on Vista, it doesn't work well and will be difficult to remove. The
HP XP uninstallers don't work properly on Vista, and they leave behind a mess that
must be removed manually.

I use one on my home network. It is being used as a standalone network
printer. Everything works except the card reader with Vista Ultimate using
the Vista built-in driver. If I really need the card reader I use my Win 2000
or XP computers. Actually have not seen the need to use the card reader yet
as my Vista computer has one built-in.
