HP 500c printer drivers by windows xp-not working

Printer drivers for hp 500c in windows xp pro not
working, will print but not correct.
 
Please explain "not correct". The drivers for the HP Deskjet 500 are the
most generic drivers out there. Are you printing to a Deskjet 500 or other
printer?
