HP 2200 setup failure in xp

Inserted HP 2200 cd and followed instructions and plugged
in usb cable when instructed. Detected device then
failure notice appeared. Readme file indicated that I
needed to have service pack 2.
I went windows site and no service pack 2 is posted for
XP.

No Windows XP service pack 2?

Help!

No, there is no WinXP SP2.

Perhaps the installation package at the HP website at
http://tinyurl.com/gg8b is newer.
