HP 1200D won't peer-to-peer network share...

Hi there,

I attached an HP 1200D Inkjet USB printer to a XP machine and works well
there, I turned on the sharing.

Then I tried to network that printer to 3 other XP machines and they all
come out with dimmed out port tab settings, and won't show the
\\username\hpinkjet that it should.

The first machine had a parallel printer previously and no problem sharing
and network printing to that printer...

What am I missing here....

check out what type of sharing permission you have on the printer.if
you don't have permission for the user then it will not work.

can you able to see the printer in network? if u can see double click
the printer icon on the client side to install the driver.

sometimes the old printer is checked as default,so trun it off and make
the new printer as default.
