Howo to keep hidden icons hidden?

In the task bar I can hide icons I don't want to see, but every time I
restart the PC, they're back again.

This used to happen sometimes in XP, but in Vista they all come back.

How can I make them hide permanantly?

Hello t8769,

Anyway, rightclick the taskbar choose properties, go to Notification area
tab and check HIde inactive icons. Then you can customize all icons like
you want to have it.
