howcome large emails never leave my outbox but it is sent out rep.

Hi Brian,

When I stated that I sent it in safe mode, I had put the computer in safe
mode. Now have put outlook in safe mode as suggested by you and it did send
o.k. Any ideas why it works in safe mode and not in normal mode?

The usual cause of this is scanning your outgoing mail with your antivirus
program. You don't need to do that. It doesn't protect you or your
receipient. Uninstall your AV program and reinstall it without the mail
scanning feature. Then try again with Outlook in normal mode.
